The 1917 Christmas plate is the 23rd in the series of famous Bing & Grondahl plates and is titled "Arrival of the Christmas Boat". The ornamental motif is in relief and the plate is decorated by hand in the classic cobalt blue shades applied undercoat.
The plate was produced in limited quantities only and exclusively in the year reported on the plate itself and the production ended at the end of the year with the destruction of the original shape that made it so impossible to reproduce.
