The Christmas plate of 1989 is the 95th in the series of famous Bing&Grondahl plates and is titled "Christmas Anchorage." The ornamental motif is in relief and the plate is decorated by hand in the classic cobalt blue shades applied undercoat.
The plate was produced in limited quantities only and exclusively in the year reported on the plate itself and the production ended at the end of the year with the destruction of the original shape that made it so impossible to reproduce.
To guarantee authenticity, the plate bears the mark of Bing & Grondahl with the three towers, inspired by the emblem of the city of Copenhagen, and the initials of the painter.
The plate measures 18 cm. in diameter and on the back presents the two holes made by Bing & Grondahl during production to hang it.
