The first Christmas plate Bing & Grondahl in 1895 was built by Harald Bing, then President of Bing & Grondahl. With this dish, one of the most ancient and unbroken series of plates collectible porcelain, began a Christmas tradition that caused early enthusiasm and appreciation worldwide.

 

The Christmas plate 1902 is the 8th of the series of famous Bing & Grondahl plates and is entitled "Interior of a Gothic Church. The pattern is in relief and the plate is hand-decorated in cobalt blue shades applied classical light, features of this set of dishes.

 

The pot is produced in limited quantities and production ends at the end of the year with the destruction of the original shape making it so impossible to playback.

 

To ensure authenticity the plate bears the mark of Bing & Grondahl with three towers, inspired by the coat of arms of the city of Copenhagen and known worldwide as a symbol of Danish porcelain, and initials of the painter.

 

Measure cm dish. 18 in diameter and on the back has the two holes, drilled by Bing & Grondahl factory during production, in order to hang.
